Topics will include what has happened and is going to happen in the US Congress and NC General Assembly? What are our standard setters and regulators up to? What is happening on the international scene that will affect you? What are the NC State Board of CPA Examiners’ rules and interpretations on being certified in North Carolina, providing services, and holding out as a CPA? Participate in discussions about the successful passage of the Mobility legislation and its implications for you! Learn more about the association’s “Request for Rule Amendment” to change the NC State Board of CPA Examiners’ Advertising and CPA Firm name regulations. Gain a better understanding of the dynamic nature of our professional environment as Jim and Joan provide relevant information on national and state trends and initiatives. Afterwards, from 6:00–8:00 pm, stay for a dinner and mingle with upcoming CPA superstars! Area students and faculty will be in attendance for a fun evening including games and prizes. Several local students will receive chapter scholarships. Plan to attend!
